His experience and expertise over the past 20 years has allowed him to successfully treat many skin concerns, imperfections and diseases. Patient health is foremost with Dr. Gardner, but he realizes the importance of skin beauty and the self-confidence that comes with it. He stays abreast of the latest in dermatological care, frequently training in new technology, in order to bring the safest and most effective methods of treatment to his patients. Anitra Simone Graves, MD
Anitra S. Graves, MD, D.ABSM obtained her education through an accelerated-combined degree program at Kent State University and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) where she earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Life Sciences and a Medical Doctorate, respectively.
She then completed her Internal Medicine residency and Fellowship training in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Emory University affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. She served as a medical science investigator and earned the support of multiple funding agencies including the National Institutes of Health and regional Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). Dr. Graves has also served as a VAMC clinician specializing in the areas of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. She has been an active participant in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education and has given multiple lectures on Pulmonary and Sleep medicine topics including COPD, Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia, Sleep Disordered Breathing, and Parasomnias. Dr. Graves currently serves as Chief of Critical Care Services at Northside Hospital-Cherokee, as well as the Medical Director of Northside Hospital-Cherokee Sleep Disorder Center.
Dr. Graves is Board Certified in four medical specialties including Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Graves is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physician Executives, and American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Graves is also the founder of Cherokee Lung & Sleep Specialists P.C. in Canton, Georgia.
